It seems that Michaei “Tickers” Tickner has reached his best form after the championships were over. Tickers scored +4 in the par competition to easily beat the diminished field on Saturday.
A number of members were involved in manning a barbecue for the arrival of the Variety Club Bash reducing the number of players.
Colourful local identity Philip “Thomo” Thomson was runner up all square. Chris “Critta” Waters scored -6, while his son Kalai, having his first game in competition was rewarded with the Mars Bar.
The handicapper has recognised Tickers’ effort by reducing his handicap by 1 stroke .
