Flying Dutchman Takes Out Mulligans

The Flying Dutchman lets one fly from the 3rd tee. This ball appears to be going out of bounds. This is not an optical illusion.

Only four players took part in today’s mulligan competition. Mulligan speciialist Dick Secomb was unavailable as he was selflessly doing volunteer work for the club.

This left the opportunity for others and Eddie “The Flying Dutchman” Van Keulen prevailed after an epic battle with Andrew Hall. On the final tee both Eddie & Andrew were level with 16 points while David “Jack” Webster & Dick Cleland were almost out of contention on 14. Eddie scored a steady 2 points to finish with 18 while Andrew missed a short put to finish on 17. Jack & Dick failed to add to their scores with Dick taking the Mars Bar on a count back. Dick was nearest the pin on hole 8 & Jack was nearest the pin on hole 11.
