The final round of the Chemmart Trophy was played today and Dick Cleland won the round & the trophy following today’s score of 43 stableford points. The trophy is awarded to the player with the best aggregate of 5 best of 9 rounds. Dick scored 193 points to narrowly defeat outstanding junior member Kobi Wenzel who scored 191 points, a battle between the oldest & youngest member of the summer season.
Today’s runner up was Mark “Mouldy” Millward with 39 points. Mouldy started slowly but came home strongly with 23 on the back 9. Russell “Gus The Good Guy” Wenzel scored 34 followed by Kobi on 30. David “Jack” Webster finished with 28 after a run of exceedingly interesting lies. Eddie “The Flying Dutchman” Van Keulen experienced one of the most complete collapses seen in a long time. After scoring 19 on the front 9 Eddie could only manage 7 on the back 9. Tarcoowiie visitor Klaus Heymann took the Mars Bar
