Jack Webster played steady consistent golf to win with 38 stableford points narrowly beating Matt McAuley on 37. Russell “Gus The Good Guy” Wenzel was third on 36 followed by Dick Secomb & Michael “Tickers” Tickner with 35 each.Mark “Mouldy” Millward scored 33 just avoiding the Mars Bar which was left for colourful local identity Philip “Thomo” Thomson with 32, a score which normally would not earn a Mars Bar.
A feature of the play was the fact that Jack was the only player to match his front 9 score on the back. All the other competitors choked on the back 9 in many cases scoring considerably less and blowing a winning lead.
