Saturday saw the mixed & men’s Pinehurst foursomes played, generously sponsored by Sevenhill Winery.
The winners of the mixed competition with the best score of the day were Judy Reilly & Dick Cleland with a score of nnet 65.5.
The men’s competition was won by the mercurial Bob Taylor & Gordon “The Chook Man” kakoschke with a net score of 69.5.
Nearest the pins went to Russell “Gus The Good Guy” Wenzel on hole 4, & Michael Tickner on hole 11.
Special mention needs to be made of colourful local identity “Philip “Thomo” Thomson & Bob Perry who received the Mars Bar with a score of net 83.5, which included an 11 on hole 6 after Thomo left the ball lodged in a tree some distance off the ground.
