Dave Robbie in Rare Form

David “Robbie” Robinson took out Saturday’s stableford with a stunning score of 46 points. Some sympathy must be felt for runner up, Andy Spackman, who scored an impressive 44 points. Robbie has been threatening to post a score for some time and must have finally got his tee shots to go where he wanted them to. There was a big gap to third placed Mark “Mouldy” Millward and there were a number of scores under 30. A count back was required to decide the Mars Bar which went to Brett Wallis from Eddie “The Flying Dutchman” Van Keulen. Thier scores were so low we have decided not to share them with you.

Eighteen hole winner was Andrea Rowe 31 points, Margie Stockman 29 points (runner up), and past member Jeanette Barlow joined the ladies today and had a score of 21 points, not to shabby a score considering Jeanette hasn’t played for 2 years.

Nearest the pin was Margie Stockman on hole 8. Andrea Rowe had a Chip out/birdie on hole 11 giving her the Birdie ball.

Players Struggle in Perfect Conditions

Six players competed in today’s stableford but the scores were less than impressive. The winner was Andy Phillips with 34 points. Runner up was Dick Cleland with 32 on a count back from Chris “Critta” Waters.
