Only 3 ladies out today, as quite a few were away due to association bowls commitments. Peg Geghardt won the day with 31 points on a countback from Runner Up Di Day. Sharyn Roberts won the birdie ball (hole 14) and also took home the Mars bar for her paltry 25 pts.
January 14th – With holiday season still in full swing only 2 ladies braved 18 holes in the heat. Di Day came out on top with a score of 29 points, followed by Andrea Rowe with 25 pts. Andrea also had a chip out on hole 10. Judy Reilly played 9 holes and had a superb score of 19 points, plus took out the NTP on hole 8.
January 21st – Perfect weather brings out the golfers! Seven ladies took to the course today with variable results. The winner with 34 points was Sharyn Roberts. Runner up was Margie Stockman with 33 pts on a countback from Andrea Rowe. Other scores were – Marj Wride 30 pts, Peg Gebhardt & Di Day 23 pts & Glenys Pierce got the Mars Bar! The extra comp was Par 4’s and Sharyn won this with 19 pts. NTP on hole 8 went to Andrea Rowe.
January 28th – In warm conditions the ladies took the carts for a spin, making it a pleasant day for them. However, cart golf did not improve the scores will all 4 players finishing with mediocre results. The trees were not our friends! Best of a bad bunch was Sharyn Roberts, winning with 27 points. Runner Up was Marj Wride on 26 pts, followed by Di Day 25 pts & Peg Gebhardt 22 pts. The extra comp was Drives on Fairway and the winner was Di Day with 10 on countback from Marj & Sharyn. The NTP ball stayed in the cupboard this week!
As from next week the new World Golf Handicap system comes into play. All players will find that their G.A. has increased slightly.
Five ladies hit off this morning in ideal conditions. Marj Wride and Judy Reilly played 9 holes with Marj coming out with the win on 17 points.
Eighteen hole winner was Andrea Rowe 31 points, Margie Stockman 29 points (runner up), and past member Jeanette Barlow joined the ladies today and had a score of 21 points, not to shabby a score considering Jeanette hasn’t played for 2 years.
Nearest the pin was Margie Stockman on hole 8. Andrea Rowe had a Chip out/birdie on hole 11 giving her the Birdie ball.

Six girls braved the cool windy weather this morning. Sharyn Roberts won the day with a respectable 36 points from runner up Andrea Rowe 35 points. Peg Gebhardt was nearest the pin on hole 8 and Di Day won the extra comp with 11 drives on fairway.
Five ladies hit off today with Peg Gebhardt scooping the pool. Peg had a superb round of 38 points. Runner up was Glenys Pierce with 31 points, nice to see you back Glenys after a few weeks absent. Judy Reilly had 29pts and bringing up the tail was Di Day and Andrea Rowe both with 28 pts. Nearest the pin on hole 8 and the extra comp was Peg Gebhardt. Birdie Ball went to Glenys Pierce for her great birdie on Hole 8 sinking a monster putt.

Andrea Rowe was the best of the 3 girls who ventured out on Tuesday. With 4 of our regular ladies playing assoc Bowls numbers were down. Gusty winds made conditions rather tricky but Andrea managed a respectable 30 stableford points. Runner up was Sharyn Roberts with 28 points, followed by Peg Gebhardt with 26 points. The NTP Ball has stayed in the trophy cupboard for the past 2 weeks with no one hitting the green! Last week (Nov 5th) scores were – Winner Di Day, 31 points. Runner Up Sharyn Roberts 30 points on a countback from Margie Stockman.

Andrea Rowe has been in good form since the summer season started and posted another good score today . An impressive 35 points gave her the win over ‘slow starter’ Sharyn Roberts. Andrea also won the extra comp of Mystery holes with a score of 20 and won the ball for NTP. Judy Reilly & Marj Wride played 9 holes and Judy was victor over Marj by 1 point.
