Ladies Semi Final Placings decided

MARGIE BLITZES THE FIELD!

Margie Stockman blitzed the field on Tuesday with a fantastic nett 69, runner up was Sharyn Roberts nett 75. Other scores – Lyn Mosey nett 77, Glenys Pierce & Di Dau nett 79, Rose Duncan nett 83, Judy Reilly nett 86, Andrea Rowe nett 88. Nearest the pin on hole 8 Di Day and finished off with a birdie. Glenys Pierce won the birdie ball with her birdie on hole 16. Margie also won the extra comp with 14 drives on fairway.

B Grade Plate – Di Day (1) V Judy Reilly (4), Lyn Mosey (2) V Peggy Gebhardt (3).

Ladies stableford – June 30th

Glenys continues her winning streak & Di takes a penalty!

Seven ladies teed off on Tuesday for a stableford round with a couple of reasonable scores and some not so good! Glenys Pierce had another good round with 31 stableford points winning the day. Glenys also had a birdie on hole 16. Runner up Lyn Mosey 30 points.

Extra comp was most 2 points & Di Day won this with 10 x 2 points, Di also had the shot of the day, after hitting out of the creek hazard she couldn’t find her ball. She knew it had come back and hit her (no penalty these days), and was thinking she’d have to replay her ball. When she moved to do so then discovered her ball had landed in her vest!! (Penalty then taken for unplayable). Well done Di I don’t think anyone could top that one🤣🤣

Ladies Stroke Round – June 23rd

Nine ladies hit off for a stroke round which included Elaine Arthur our nine hole player. Winner of the day was Glenys Pierce with a very respectable nett 71. Runner up Andrea Rowe nett 72, who also had nearest the pin on hole 8 and a birdie on hole 14.

Extra comp – least putts was Margie Stockman with 29 on a count back from Lyn Mosey.

Windy conditions for Ladies Par round

Ten women played a par round on Tuesday 16th in windy conditions. Jo Gebhardt won the nine hole round with Elaine Arthur runner up.

Winner of the day was Sharyn Roberts with a plus one on a count back from Glenys Pierce, well done girls. The extra comp was most holes squared and this was won by Sharyn with 14. Other scores were – Margie Stockman -1, Peggy Gebhardt -4, Judy Reilly -5, Andrea Rowe -6, Di Day -8 & Rose Duncan got the Mars Bar! Nearest the pin on hole 8 was Andrea Rowe.

The ladies summer golf competition came to a halt at the end of March. Unfortunately, the usual luncheon could not be held due to Covid-19 restrictions. Below are the winners and results:

Farmers Day a Success!

Perfect conditions greeted the 13 teams who took to the course to play an ambrose competition for the inaugural Farmers Golf Day. Thanks must go to our wonderful sponsors for supporting the day. From their support we were able to hand out fantastic prizes. An auction of items donated was held after the golf with funds raised being donated towards the RFDS & KI Fire appeal. Tuesday 4/2/20 – Three ladies stepped out for a round of golf. Winner of the day was Peg Gebhardt with 31 pts, R/Up Di Day on a count back with 31 pts, Sharyn Roberts 25 pts, Sharyn also got a birds ball on hole 14.

Tuesday 11/2/20 – Four ladies played with the winner Di Day 32 points, R/Up Peg Gebhardt 31 pts then Andrea Rowe 30 pts, followed by Sharyn Roberts 26 pts. Di Day won the extra competition and nearest the pin on hole 8.

 Tuesday 18/2/20 – Only two ladies teed off with many out due to bowling commitments. I think both of us wished we stayed home!!. Sharyn Roberts was the winner with 29 points who rolled by Andrea Rowe with 26 pts.

 Tuesday 25/2/20 – Five ladies played, the winner was Peg Gebhardt with a massive score of 39 points, R/Up was Glenys Pierce with 34 pts on a count back from Di Day. Other scores were Andrea Rowe 30 pts, Sharyn Roberts also 30 pts. Extra comp was Par 3’s Par 5’s – Andrea Rowe won this with 16 points. NTP Hole 8 – Sharyn Roberts.

January Wrap Up! Ladies golf.

January 14th – With holiday season still in full swing only 2 ladies braved 18 holes in the heat. Di Day came out on top with a score of 29 points, followed by Andrea Rowe with 25 pts. Andrea also had a chip out on hole 10. Judy Reilly played 9 holes and had a superb score of 19 points, plus took out the NTP on hole 8.

January 21st – Perfect weather brings out the golfers! Seven ladies took to the course today with variable results. The winner with 34 points was Sharyn Roberts. Runner up was Margie Stockman with 33 pts on a countback from Andrea Rowe. Other scores were – Marj Wride 30 pts, Peg Gebhardt & Di Day 23 pts & Glenys Pierce got the Mars Bar! The extra comp was Par 4’s and Sharyn won this with 19 pts. NTP on hole 8 went to Andrea Rowe.

January 28th – In warm conditions the ladies took the carts for a spin, making it a pleasant day for them. However, cart golf did not improve the scores will all 4 players finishing with mediocre results. The trees were not our friends! Best of a bad bunch was Sharyn Roberts, winning with 27 points. Runner Up was Marj Wride on 26 pts, followed by Di Day 25 pts & Peg Gebhardt 22 pts. The extra comp was Drives on Fairway and the winner was Di Day with 10 on countback from Marj & Sharyn. The NTP ball stayed in the cupboard this week!

As from next week the new World Golf Handicap system comes into play. All players will find that their G.A. has increased slightly.
