
Ten players braved gale force winds to play today’s stableford event, and the scores reflected the difficulty the conditions caused. Winner was David “jack” Webster who scored a creditable 36. Matt McCauley & Andy Phillips tied for 2nd just 1 back with 35. Russell “Gus The Good Guy” Wenzel on 34 & Chris “Critta” Waters 30, were the only others to score 30 or more. At the head of the rest was David “Robbie” Robinson on 28, followed by Eddie “The Flying Dutchman” Van Keulen 24 & Michael “Tickkers” Tickner 24. As visitor Klaus Heymann could not stay, Mark “Mouldy” Millward took the Mars Bar for the second week in a row with 23. The new handicapper has taken pity on Mouldy and increased his handicap to 10′

















Russell “Gus The Good Guy” Wenzel scored 38 points to edge out Andy Phillips by one stroke. Gus was rewarded by the new Handicapper with a 1 stroke handicap reduction. There was, however, a 5 stroke gap to Bob Taylor & colourful local identity Philip “Thomo” Thomson on 32 (Thomo choked again). A closely fought battle for the Mars Bar saw Eddie “The Flying Dutchman” Van Keulen avoid the chocolate with 30 points.The confectionary went to Dick Cleland with 29.
